About us

Hi, and welcome to Just a Titch. We’re so glad you’re here!

We believe that small gestures make a big impact. We also believe that taking the time to add a little special something (a titch) to the things that matter in life, whether it’s a home-cooked meal, a coffee klatch with an old friend, or simply thanking someone, truly connects us in this hectic world. And that one simple gesture can inspire another person to do the same.

Oh, and we have lots of hobbies (too many for our own good). We love fashion and interiors! We love gardening (thank you Scottish heritage!). We love food and despite having Celiac disease, N&E manipulate the best recipes to meet their needs. We also have a deep connection with Mother Earth and we do as much as we can to reduce + reuse & recycle. We’re excited to share all of this with you here at Just a Titch. Oh, and we will feature contributing writers here too! So if you know us, and want to contribute, we’d love to hear from you. Email us: natalie@nataliehansen(dot)com or emcisaac@earthlink(dot)net

We will try super hard to respond to all the questions and comments we receive, but some inevitably slip through the cracks. If you have a specific question regarding a recipe or a DIY project please comment on our posts. Thanks!

WHO WE ARE:

NATALIE HANSEN
Founder, Creative Director & Editor-in-Chief
JAT_editor_natalie

Natalie is a mother, wife, daughter, trusted friend, artist, and by day, a creative director. When she’s not creating in front of the computer, you can find her reupholstering an old chair, cooking up some crazy gluten-free dish, painting, or chasing after her three year old. As the founder of Just a Titch, Natalie provides the tone and vision for the site. ….And she’s really happy you’re here!

My favorite quick-gift is clipping a bunch of Rosemary from the yard, bundling it up with twine and tying a nice handwritten card to it.

ESTHER MCISAAC
Co-founder & Editor
JAT_editor_esther

Born and raised in Scotland, now living in the Sierra foothills of California, Esther loves the simplicity of life in the mountains. She has been accused of having magical gardening powers…she has over 14 different varieties of fruit trees growing on her “farm” (ok, it’s just a really big yard). When she’s not tending to her garden you can find her exploring vintage shops, painting, knitting, sculpting, sewing, canning, cooking, the list goes on… but most importantly, you’ll find her spending time with loved ones. This little spot on the internet is where she shares her endless creative inspiration and even some malarky.

I love the saying “just a titch,” it reminds me of home and having a cup o tea – we’d say just a titch for either milk or sugar. Just a titch is just perfect in life.

JACKIE D’ARCY DENNEY
JAT_editor_picsJACKIE

We are so lucky to have Jackie steward our whacky, sing-song, euro-meets-western storytelling style. We have known her forever and we know that she’ll never make fun of our terrible grammar and spelling skills. She is also quite possibly, one of the nicest, most charismatic people we know. She has taught us that “thoughts become things” and that being “fully present” is the best way to live this wonderful life here on our magical planet. She did not edit this – so apologies for any grammar errors.
