Amy, I really, really love reading your blog. These last few posts in particular have been amazing. I can so relate to your story. I am in a pretty difficult stage in my life currently, and it feels so much better to know that there is hope, and that I am not alone. I would really love to get together soon and talk with you about things!

Lovely series of posts, Amy, and I'm so hopeful and glad to hear where you're at now. It's amazing to me how much we have in common. I'm not divorced, but I had a broken engagement. Looking forward to reading the upcoming post on how to turn things around when you hit rock bottom, as I wrote a similar post myself about a year and a half ago when my life fell apart.

We all have issues and allowing someone to help us with them or even know about them is an issue within itself.

I'm glad you found someone who is there even when the self-preservation barriers go up. =)

More often than not, we don\'t end up where we expect (I didn\'t expect to be up all hours writing essays at almost 27!!), but I feel the same way, without the experiences on the journey we did end up taking, we wouldn\'t be where or who we are today. I\'ve been through some crap (mostly self-inflicted), but I don\'t regret any of it. I\'ve always been an all or nothing kind of person and I\'m catching up on my personal and professional life pretty damn fast, after going round in backwards circles for a few years. And I think I\'m a better person for those experiences, I know firsthand what the alternatives can be so I work even harder to make sure I keep moving in a better direction. I\'m really looking forward to the next posts too, I could still use a little pick me up, a little hope at this particular point in time.
