Simple Pleasures…

There are some days when I just feel like the world smiles and me, and says, “Amy, today’s gonna be a good day. ”

Today I:

—Woke up feeling loved, refreshed and grateful after a great night with good friends.

—Exchanged a few text messages with my brother, which always makes me happy, since I miss the kid now that he’s all grown up and working and going to college.

—Was offered a freelance writing position.  It doesn’t pay a lot, but I do get a byline, experience and a bit of money!  I’ll share details as I am able.

—Had a much-needed day of silence in my classroom as my students write papers and I get caught up on grades and other things I need to get done.

—Feel really optimistic, excited and pasisonate about some teaching stuff thanks to a great mentor teacher this year,

—Am still really unsure about some really BIG things in my life right now, but feel confident that as always, it will all be okay, no matter what.
