FACT: Bears eat beets.

Today, I’m stealing from Katelin and Drea and posting some facts.

FACT: I love a lot of foods I used to hate, but now love. For example, I hated strawberries until I was 19 years old. Now, I love them. I used to loathe cream cheese and now I love it. Currently, I’m working on teaching myself to love watermelon. But you’ll never get me to love tomatoes OH NO YOU WON’T.

FACT: Sometimes, I feel like taking a shower/washing my hair/getting ready takes way too much energy. I mean, I do it. But I don’t have to like it.

FACT: I love routine. Crave it, even. To the point where I’m drafting a “summer schedule” because I know myself well enough to know that if I don’t have things to do and places to be for two months, my only accmplishment will be watching a ridiculous amount of terrible day time television and making a big dent in my couch.

FACT: I’m overly sensitive. My feelings get hurt way too easily. I’m working on it.

FACT: Somedays, going to bed is easily the highlight of my day. Since I get up at 4:45 AM, I get nowhere near the amount of sleep I’d like. I really like sleep, guys.

FACT: I totally suffer from Chandler’s smiling issue. When I’m actually smiling, my smile is just fine, but I definitely have this weird smile I do when I’m faking it for the camera. Sigh.

FACT: My ideal wardrobe consists of all black dresses and a ridiculous amount of bright shoes, scarves, jewelry and bags to accessorize. I really like black dresses.

Your turn! Tell me some facts about you. Also, if you get the reference in this post title, we’re already BFF’s.

    Bears. Beets. Battlestar Galactica.

  • Fact: I love that episode of The Office maybe more than any other episode of The Office.

    “Bears. Beets. Battlestar Galactica.”
“Bears do not…What is going on? What are you doing?”

    Fact: Dwight Schrute is amazing.

Fact: I wish you lived closer so we could hang out and quote hilarious TV shows on a weekly basis.

Fact: Springtime is one of my favorite times, my raging allergies be damned.

Fact: I have a mostly irrational fear of puppets and stuffed animals coming to life, (which is something I shared this week on my site, yes! and) stemming from early readings of The Velveteen Rabbit.

    Fact: I love peas.

  • Ah, Dwight Schrute. He really does rule.

Fact: I talk with my hands and don’t even know I’m doing it (until I knock over a glass).

Fact: Chocolate doesn’t tempt me, but Doritos? A whole ‘nother story.

Fact: Your posts make me smile every time, even though I’ve been too busy to say so.

  • Your first four fit me to a T. Well, except for the tomato part. LOVE me some tomatoes. In the summer, I eat them like I would an apple.

fact: you are fabulous and i love following your adventures through your blog. HAPPY WEDNESDAY!

  • Fact: I don’t really like tomatoes; I just eat them to be “healthy”.

Fact: I loved the link you left on AshleyWriteToReach’s blog today and now I am set on beginning to minimilize my life this weekend.

Fact: Each post you write makes me want to be your BFF even more than before.

  • I just started to like tomatoes. Slowly, a little bit. And yesterday, a friend of mine ordered ATOMATO SALAD

  • I just started to like tomatoes. Slowly, a little bit. And yesterday, a friend of mine ordered A TOMATO SALAD, with red ones & yellow ones & green ones, big & little, with some sort of creamy cheese & lots of olive oil, & I FREAKING LOVED IT. Dude, it was a huge moment for me. HUGE.

  • You WILL love tomatoes – buy some fresh ones from the Farmers Market. YUM! I used to hate tomatoes but after I started eating the Farmers Market ones I fell in love with them!!

  • FACT: I love you and your blog more with each post. Seriously.

I was the same way about strawberries! They used to make me gag, but I just ate a giant bowl of them this morning. So good!

  • FACT: I used to HATE watermelon, and now I like LOVE it. All of a sudden I started eating watermelon after 26 years of avoiding it, and I can’t get enough.

FACT: I want to go back to bed right now.

    Also I love tomatoes. Forever.

  • Bears, beets, Battlestar Galactica.

  • Bears. Beets. Battlestar Galactica. Ah, I love The Office. I can’t do tomatoes. I am also overly sensitive. I blame all of our similarities on the birthday thing.

I love having a blog, but never feel like I have enough time to write.

I love McDonald’s smoothies and frozen lemonade more than anyone should love anything from McDonald’s.

    Green is my happy color.

  • bears. beets. battlestar galactica.

fact: i only know that bc my friends watch the office & bsg. i only watch things like LOST and Gilmore Girls. and recently Parks & Recreation.

  • Tomatoes… gross. I love them cooked, ketchup, and pasta sauce, but I can’t do raw tomatoes. YUCK.

  • The Office, right?

Fact: If I roll one window down in the car, I need the opposite one also rolled down.

Fact: I do not eat pickles.

Fact: I think salad that someone else makes tastes so much better than any salad I can make. I think it’s how much effort I put into making it. Takes the fun out of it.

Fact: In the summer I could live on watermelon, berries and iced tea.

  • Oh man, that Chandler reference made me laugh! I have a friend who’s the same way. I’m usually okay in front of the camera, but sometimes my smile goes a little faulty! I’m with you on the watermelon too, I can eat the real stuff, but give me a watermelon candy and I automatically get nauseous, ha! Fun post :)

  • God I love that episode. And the Chandler reference “THOSE are my bedroom eyes?!”

FACT: I don’t like chocolate. And most desserts in general.

FACT: I don’t like watermelon, either. But I LOVE tomatoes! I like to slice them up and sprinkle a little salt on them. Add in some cheese and I’m golden.

  • Last night I started obsessively planning out my Summer and then wrote a blog post of goals, because if I don’t have a plan, then I will end up doing absolutely nothing. I mean, if you can call watching everything available on Netflix Instant nothing.

Also, the internet totes makes fun of me for never smiling with my teeth in pictures, but it’s because I have the same problem as you and Chandler. My picture smile with teeth looks fake. In real life, though, my smile is all teeth.

  • FACT: I too, hate watermelon. It’s a weird texture. Sort of like sand mixed with a slurpy and then frozen.

FACT: I also used to hate tomatoes. Now, I love them.

FACT: In relation to your title, I still have teddy bears. 3 of them. They are awesome and I don’t care what anyone else says about it.

  • 4:45?!?!? Is that a typo? :)

    I hate the whole shower/blow-dry/straighten/poof/etc. rigamarole too…

  • I’m the same way with going to bed! I wake up at 5 a.m. and even when I have a rough day with nothing really good happening, I always tell myself that the best is yet to come. At the end of the day I’ll get to lie down and sleep!

  • AH, sleep. I love it too.
I’d like to know who really does love the whole getting ready process. Somedays it thoroughly exhausts me.

  • Rhi

I hated watermelon so much as a child that I once pretended to be allergic to it so I wouldn’t have to eat it. AND, I got told on for that.

  • Fact: your blog title is pretty much the same as my last blog post title. RANDOM. <3

  • love your post title. you can never go wrong with a quote from NBC’s thursday night line-up.

Fact: I don’t like to eat my own cooking. Not because I can’t cook (everyone else seems to enjoy my cooking), but food – to me – tastes better when someone else prepares it.

Fact: My husband previously suffered from the Chandler smile issue, except that instead of an awkward smile, he looked like he has Down Syndrome. He has gotten better now (I taught him to smile naturally for our wedding pictures.) The key is to think of something funny and laugh, even out loud if you have to.

Fact: The best place to go whale watching is on the west coast. If you’re gonna go whale watching on the east coast, you might wanna bring a magazine called “West Coast Whales”…

    :)

  • Fact: I kind of adore you.

  • Question. What kind of bear is best?

Fact: I hate watermelon, no matter how often I try it.

Fact: I own zero pairs of nice pants. Skirts? Yes. Dresses? Yes. Jeans? Yes. Nice slacks or khakis? Nothing.

Fact: I am willing to get up at 5 am, but I feel like if the first number on the clock is 4 that’s too early. Even 4:59 am.

  • False! Black Bears.

I, too, now like some foods I used to hate. For instance, guacamole. What was I thinking back in the days when I didn’t like guacamole? It’s fantastic. Growing up, I knew my mom didn’t like it, so I assume it was terrible. She really led me astray on that one!

  • Fact: I used to hate tomatoes too and never thought I would like them. The summer heirloom tomatoes from Magpie changed that.

Fact: I don’t like getting ready in the morning either; I find it tedious. That’s one more hour I could be sleeping.

Fact: I bought a new black dress today: It’s strapless and summer-y. I really doubt one can have too many black dresses.

  • Hahahah I love the title of this. Bears… Beets… Battlestar Galactica. Easily my favourite episode, just for the beginning sketch.

FACT: I have never gotten the “I hate tomatoes” thing. I was raised on them. One time, I ate a tomato really slowly (and I mean reeaaally slowly), trying to figure out what’s not to like… and just couldn’t figure it out! You guys are weird.

  • Fact: Jim Halpert should be a real person.

I also hate getting ready/showering/brushing my teeth/drying my hair. I have good hygiene (I floss daily!) but I hate a lot of it.
