If you’re a lady who blogs, I’m pretty sure you’ve heard of Blog Her, the sort of “umbrella” of cool stuff that’s happening for women in the Blogosphere. For the past few years, my Twitter and blogroll has blown up during conference weekends, with all the awesomeness that happens during the conference.
I REALLY wanted to go, but I had committed to attending Bloggers In Sin City and The Blathering, and money doesn’t grow on trees. I applied—just in case—for a BlogHership which grants free admission in return for a bit of volunteering, and crossed my little fingers that maybe, just maybe, I’d be accepted.
On Tuesday night, I was SO EXCITED to receive the email that I’d been accepted. I’m GOING! TO BLOG HER!
So, if you’re going to be at BlogHer, drop me a comment and say HI! I’d love to meet up with you and hang out. I have no doubt that it’s going to be an epic weekend. It’s my first trip to The Big Apple and I intend to fulfill some Carrie Bradshaw-like fantasies, as well as put faces with the names of some of the bloggers I love most. And let’s not lie: get free swag.
I feel like this is just another thing in a long list of good things that’s coming to fruition. 2010 is going to be amazing…it’s already thrilling my little heart.

Ooh congrats! I’m planning a trip to NYC that week–not going to the conference, but I do plan to meet up with some of my favorite bloggers!
I’m planning on being out of town August 6-8 (my birthday weekend), but any time during that week, I’d be up for a blogger dinner or something. I have been to several BlogHers and I found them to be too focused on mommybloggers, but they are starting to branch out so I’m sure you’ll have a good time.

congrats on getting the volunteer position, that is so exciting. and i will definitely be there! it’s been so much fun the last two years i’ve gone, i cannot wait for this one.
Oh my gosh. Lucky lucky lucky! I reallllllllllly wanted to go to Bloggers in Sin City this year, and was totally planning on it, but then I realized that it’s the same weekend as my best friend’s bachelorette extravaganza. Umm.. yeah. Definitely no mystery which I chose. BUT the fact still remains that I am simply DYING to go to a meet up, to be able to interact with this community on a more personal basis. I think it would be such an experience! But anyway. Hopefully next year I’ll be able to jump on the band wagon..and in the meantime, congratulations!
