{current new favorite things!}
Currently, I am:
relieved to be done with Christmas shopping (minus a few stocking-ish things).
excited to only have 15 more days in the classroom before two weeks off.
obsessed with peppermint mochas.
cringing at Virgin Diaries (did anyone else watch?).
planning on doing a Happiness Project instead of traditional New Years resolutions this year and having fun dreaming big.
thankful for time with friends over the weekend.
dreaming about New York City and Paris in March.
glittering thanks to this weeks mani (Essie’s Power Clutch + Gap glittery top coat) and Urban Decay’s Naked Palette.
writing lists upon lists of ideas and dreams.
sniffling just a bit thanks to a little cold (definitely on the mend today!).
considering how I want to work my eating/exercise routine during the chaos of the next few weeks.
enjoying the lights on our tiny Christmas tree.
reading The Gifts Of Imperfection by Brene Brown and having my whole life changed.
feeling introspective and quiet, but happy.
What are you currently doing?

I absolutely loved The Gifts of Imperfection.
/drool I’ve been craving a yummy peppermint mocha!
I also love my Naked palette, but this post made me realize I have no idea where it is. LIFE.
Isn’t The Gifts of Imperfection amazing! I think I’m going to get everyone I know a copy for Christmas this year.
Also, I’m think of starting a group of bloggers to read her other book, I Thought It Was Just Me (But It Isn’t), in the new year. I’ll let you know if that happens!
HOW DID I MISS VIRGIN DIARIES? NOOOOO!
Amy – I watched it too. I was simultaneously cringing but not being able to turn it off.
LOVE my Naked Palette… use it EVERYDAY!!! UD just released an EVEN BETTER palette (NAKED2)! Softer more day time colors, more mattes, more cooler tones, only for sale on the website (will be released to stores in late Jan/early Feb) Oh my… can’t wait to get mine!!
I’ve never heard of the Gifts of Imperfection. I’m going to go check it out. And what’s this about you coming to NYC?! How did I miss this?? We HAVE to meet! When are you coming?
I am up to my eyeballs in holiday stress. I wish I was done with Christmas shopping!
I so very much want to read that book. I love Brene Brown’s work.
I’m relieved to be done Christmas shopping too – the mall is a ZOO this time of year! Nathan’s going shopping tomorrow and I don’t envy him a bit
I love the idea of doing a Happiness Project instead of New Year’s Resolutions! I hope you post about it on your blog so we can get some inspiration.
Currently I am sleepy since I didn’t sleep much at all last night (darn almost 3rd trimester!) and thinking about making some tea to try to warm up on this cold, rainy day.
Ooooh, NYC and Paris. You’re going to have such an amazing time! I’m a bit jealous!
Currently? I’m basking in the beauty that is being a mother, and thanking my lucky stars that my husband and I both get to spend these first few weeks of his life with him, together, all day, every day. (I’m also getting more and more nervous each day for the days we each have to go back to work, but I’m trying to ignore that for now.)
I lived in Paris in March and although it can be chilly, it’s lovely. Paris is always lovely, who am I kidding. But there aren’t that many tourists then!
