May 14th, 2012 I’m now over at Coffee & Sunshine. Come say hello! This will be my last post here, so please, come over, re-subscribe and check out the new site. xo May 11th, 2012 In March of 2008, I was bored and looking for something to do with my time. I’d had a few blogs in my lifetime, starting with my very first site ever, Coffee & Sunshine, which I started wayyyy back in 2004 when I was 21 years old and beginning my adult life. I launched Just A Titch after batting names around with Andrew for a few May 10th, 2012 Recently, the weather has been nice enough for backyard dinners. I’m fortunate enough to live in an apartment with a truly amazing backyard, complete with an orange tree and patio furniture—perfect for dinners outside. It’s also the busiest few weeks of my school year, as I frantically finish the end of the school business. I am eager to have dinners that don’t take long to prepare but are May 9th, 2012
A few weeks ago, I was having dinner with a friend and I told her (probably in too much detail!) about my current health plans and goals: the way I’m eating, how often I’m working out, etc. After listening patiently, she asked how she could be of help and support on this journey. It got me thinking. Time and time again, I’ve read May 8th, 2012
Recently, I’ve stumbled upon a few posts by some women I admire that were inspired by this post of Jess at Makeunder My Life. The gist of the post was that there is a lack of transparency in the blogging community at times. It’s easy to look around and to be bombarded by photos of perfect homes and adorable babies, to read about relationships that May 7th, 2012 Well, I did it! I ran my first race. It was a pretty great experience, and I’m super glad I did it. As I wrote last week, my Wednesday run was an absolute nightmare. Thankfully, I had two pretty serious morale boosters. On Friday, I went out and did an easy mile and a half run and felt amazing. I definitely felt more confident after having May 4th, 2012
Image by Lisa Congon /// One of my favorite poems by ee cummings — Happy Friday! I’m super glad it’s the weekend, as always. This week was long and I’m looking forward to seeing it end. I’m also glad to mark another week off my calendar: after today, I only have 14-ish days left in the classroom! Summer is so close May 3rd, 2012 So, yesterday was kind of A Day. I’ve been running three times per week for six weeks now, and it’s been awhile since I’ve had a good run. Runners, you know what I mean: the kind where it’s easy and feels natural and you finish feeling strong and powerful. It’s been since April 11, to be exact. How do I know? Because I obsessively track my stats! And that May 2nd, 2012 Sometimes, I like to give myself helpful advice. This is what I need to hear this week. You don’t have to explain yourself. I don’t owe actual anyone an explanation about who I’m following/not following on Twitter, why I’d rather go to yoga than go to a bar, or why I’m eating salad every day for lunch. I choose my choices, and that is enough. Going to yoga May 1st, 2012
It’s May 1st, and for me, that means that the countdown to summer is ON. I finish teaching this month (19-ish days in the classroom!) and then have nine glorious weeks to do whatever I want. Okay, and to lesson plan, move into my new classroom and do a lot of work-related training, but hey! Lots of free time. Every summer, I try and |
