About

Hey you! My name is Amy and I’m glad you found your way to my little corner of the internet. I’m a 26-year-old California girl, living in a city that’s perfectly situated between San Francisco, Lake Tahoe and the Napa Valley. I live in a tiny apartment with my boyfriend, Andrew, and Harry cat, the two boys I adore. Just a few minutes away are my amazing parents, my younger brother and his fiance. My grandparents are just a short drive away, too. I adore having such access to my family, as we are very close.
During the day, you can find me teaching reading and writing to middle school students. Outside of work, I love writing in this little corner, taking photos and trying to be halfway decent at it, being a Community Manager for the 20-Something Bloggers community, reading books, sharing coffee with close friends, cooking and baking, or attempting to be crafty. My mom is an exceptional scrapbooker and I am hoping to follow suit this year and document my life so far. I’m also resolving to lose a significant amount of weight this year (a process I’m documenting over here) so lately, I’m trying out healthy recipes, spending time in the gym, out running or sweating it out in a Bikram yoga class. Perhaps most importantly, I truly believe I hit the jackpot when it comes to family and friends and believe I have the most incredible people in my life — really. I am a seriously lucky gal.
The things I love most in the world include my precious iPhone, getting snail mail and/or deliciously long email, hot baths with good bubbles, writing in my paper journal (though, I am experimenting with typing my journal this year, with the intention of having it bound! Eeep!), delicious food, attempting to garden, bettering my sewing skills, cuddling, afternoon naps, a stack of graded papers, making lists on white legal pads with black pens that are not ballpoint, text messaging and spending time with those I hold dear.
This space documents life as I know it. If you stick around, you’ll hear bits and pieces of the stories that make up this little life of mine. My story is quite different from most 20-somethings I know — I hope you’ll stay around to hear part of it. If you’re looking for a good place to start, I’d suggest reading a few of the entries here.
Like I said, I adore email. Send me love letters, stories and secrets at titchblog {at} gmail {dot} com.
