Hey you! My name is Amy Estes, & I am a 20-something girl living in Sacramento, CA. I am in love with the rivers, art & music scene, & its perfect proximity to Napa, Lake Tahoe, San Francisco, & most importantly, my parents, extended family & dear friends. I live in a tiny apartment with my boyfriend, Andrew & my cat, Harry.
I’ll answer the most common question first: what the heck is a titch? I learned the world “titch” from my adorable mom, who uses it quite frequently to mean “just a sec” or “a little bit.” While trying to come up with a name for my site, I thought it sounded cute enough and actually fit the bill of what I’m trying to do here, which is to combine all the little bits and pieces that make up my life, and weave them together.
Besides blogging, I’m involved in all sorts of online projects. I recently accepted a position working for a local citizen journalism site, where I write and work with people in a variety of capacities. I tweet religiously. I review iPhone & iPad apps for Appolicious, am a Brand Enthusiast for Brand About Town, & I am also a Community Manager for the wonderful & amazing 20-Something Bloggers community & a writer over at the fabulous Style Lush. I recently became a mentor with Wonder, Inc. I am passionate about people, writing & social media, & those things are what I try & fill my time with.
I’m an introvert masquerading as an extrovert, and Meyers-Briggs says I’m an ENFJ. I guess Carl Jung knew what he was talking about because that’s basically me, except with more time hiding from the world. I love fiercely, laugh loudly, cry easily, car dance shamelessly and try to dream big.
Things I love include writing, arglye socks, baths, music in any form but country, books, naps, yoga, spin class, learning to eat healthier, Diet Coke, pasta, chocolate, television that is truly awful, a good sidecar, all things French, dreaming about traveling to Europe, snail mail, new notebooks, white wine, my iPhone & the people I hold dear. You should probably know that I am slightly obsessed with my own handwriting, odd numbers & the color pink. I’m horrible at winking, but I’ll scrunch up my face & try — just wink back, it makes me feel better. I love to dance, despite my almost-certainty that I’m not very good. Things that annoy me include loud chewing, people who pronounce mature as “ma-toor” and slow drivers.
Despite those little annoyances, my sarcastic grumblings & your-mom jokes, I find the world to be absolutely wonderful, & love documenting my view of it here. I’m excited about creating a life that I’m passionate about, and am always looking for ways to be happier and make a difference in the world.
