Hi there. My name is Amy and I’m a 28-year-old, blue-eyed and curly-haired girl living in Sacramento, CA. I share an adorable apartment (if I do say so myself!) with my poker pro boyfriend, Andrew, and our kitty, Harry. I absolutely love living in midtown Sacramento, with its gorgeous trees, wonderful restaurants and gorgeous rivers. Plus, Sacramento is super close to Napa, Lake Tahoe and San Francisco, and most importantly, my family is just a short drive away in the town I grew up in. The actual best thing about living where you grew up is that everyone still comes home for Christmas and birthdays and that means I still see all my BFF’s regularly.

When I’m not teaching or writing here, you’ll probably find me teaching high school English (that’s my not-often-discussed-on-the-blog day job), cheering on the San Francisco Giants, drinking champagne at happy hour, listening to good music, hanging out with my cat, or spending time with those I hold dear. I’m also enjoying a torrid love affair with my Kindle but I’ll always prefer writing in a paper journal. I like my wine white and sparkling and my coffee in buckets with cream and sugar. I’d prefer that you keep beer and tomatoes to yourself, and also that you’d drive quickly in the fast lane and chew quietly, thanks.
