December 22nd, 2009 A few quick things: —I think I’ve mentioned my obsession with day planners before. See what I’ll be using for 2010 here. I’m seriously in love with it, guys. —My friend Leslie, who is an AMAZINGLY talented photographer, did a photoshoot with me yesterday since I’ll be needing a headshot soon for a project I’m involved with. You can see a bit of her handiwork on my ABout Moi page December 22nd, 2009 So, for some reason, I’ve been unable to sleep the past two weeks. This means that on top of my normal dose of crazy, I am absolutely exhausted. It goes like this: wake up at 6 AM, feel like crap on a stick. Work all day, all while fantasizing about sweet, sweet sleep. All night long, I am nodding off. And then, when I finally make it to a respectable December 21st, 2009 It’s the first day of break, and man, am I boring already. Boring + lazy = bullet points! A few people Twittered/emailed me about the gorgeous ring Andrew got me. I don’t know much about it, other than what was shared when I originally found it. The button is glass, and etched from underneath. It’s set in a silver filagree antique band. The only thing I know about the history December 19th, 2009 Okay, so truth be told, this might only be cool if you live in Sacramento, or if you really enjoy stories about awesome things that happen to me. About three years ago, a friend of mine and I were in the car, when he suggested that we listen to a radio show. I’ll be honest: I think most morning radio is terrible. Unless it’s NPR, I tend to not really December 18th, 2009 Because Andrew is headed out to Illinois a few days before I leave to join him, we decided to celebrate Christmas early. Sure, he doesn’t leave for a few more days, but hey, we were excited. It’s our first Christmas living together, and while we celebrated last year, this year feels…extra magical? I don’t know. But, since we were excited, we declared Friday night Christmas at our house. I get December 18th, 2009 Can I tell you guys a secret? It definitely gives you a Window Into My Mind, which is probably sort of a scary place, but I promise if you get past the initial fear, it’s pretty cozy in here. Or maybe I’ve just adjusted and learned to deal, sort of like those people on Hoarders who simultaneously fascinate and SCARE THE CRAP out of me. But that makes me sound December 17th, 2009 Earlier this month, I was really, really thrilled to participate in Gwen Bell’s Best of ’09 Challenge. I adore Gwen—like, she’s on my top 10 list of people I’d most like to have coffee or dinner or 10 minutes in an elevator with. She’s amazing. When she offered 30 Days of blogging your face off, I thought surely, I’d BE IN. And I was. It’s a great idea. Yesterday, after December 17th, 2009 I’m absolutely obsessed with the movie “You’ve Got Mail.” It’s probably my all-time favorite movie, one I watch as often as possible, both on TV and my very own DVD. I want to be Kathleen Kelly, with her cute little wardrobe and her adorable store and aahhhh, she is just the cutest thing ever. One of my favorite lines comes from an email she sends to Joe Fox: “Once I December 16th, 2009 Last weekend, as many of you know, I was in San Francisco. And wow, it was lovely. Seriously. It was just the break I needed from work and life, plus, I got to see some of my favorite people in the process. Friday night, we enjoyed a delicious dinner with Moose, Jennie, Elizabeth, Dani and Kristin, as well as varied significant others and children. I’d met the first four at December 15th, 2009 Dear Andrew, Two years ago today, I met you at a party. I was grumpy that night, and quite frankly, I almost didn’t go. I hadn’t taken a shower that night; instead, I threw on some makeup and a semi-cute shirt and promised myself that I’d only stay for 20 minutes. Instead, I stayed all night, talking to you.
