June 25th, 2009 I don’t really have a whole story for any of these, so I present to you a list of what is currently on my mind… 1. Why, pray tell, is it that when I have NO MONEY, I find a zillion things I want to buy; however, when I have a gift card to spend, I cannot find anything I wish to purchase? What is that all about? 2. I June 24th, 2009 I’ve dated a lot of jerks, but discussing my terrible date reminded me of another experience I had at the same bar. This time, I was out with my friend Jen grabbing drinks after dinner. It was November, and absolutely freezing. I was decked out in a sweater and jeans, and was waiting in line for the bathroom, which happens to be near the outside area for the bar. As June 23rd, 2009 Here are a few little things that always make me smile: —When I’m outside and it’s SO HOT I think I might die and a breeze blows across my sweatiness and I’m suddenly cooled off, just before I want to lose it. —The second my body hits the bed after a long day, and I feel my skin against the cool sheets. —The sound of a text message coming through, June 23rd, 2009 It’s time for another installment of Bad Dates I’ve Been On. This one could actually be my favorite, because this guy was clearly so weird and rude and awful in general. This was another friend of a friend. A friend of mine had some people over, and apparently, this guy was a friend of her boyfriend’s and he thought I was cute (I have NO recollection of meeting him, so…) June 22nd, 2009 I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the stuff I choose to own, and particularly about the things that are of particular importance to me. I’ve been trying to get rid of things I don’t need, want or use any longer, and in the process, I’ve found things that really do mean something to me. I’m going to showcase these items on my blog occasionally because I think they’re pretty, June 22nd, 2009 One of the weirdest, but also most interesting, things in my life are the crazy dreams I have. Just about every night, I have incredibly vivid dreams. While I knew that I had crazy dreams, I didn’t realize what an active sleeper I was until I started sharing a bed with someone else. When Andrew and I were at the start of our relationship, I sufficiently scared the crap out June 21st, 2009 The Summer Day Who made the world? Who made the swan, and the black bear? Who made the grasshopper? This grasshopper, I mean– the one who has flung herself out of the grass, the one who is eating sugar out of my hand, who is moving her jaws back and forth instead of up and down, who is gazing around with her enormous and complicated eyes. Now she lifts her June 20th, 2009 This week, I finally came to terms with the fact that I waste a ridiculous of time on the internet and otherwise. Since I only have about 6 weeks of summer left and some of that is spoken for, I decided I better get crackin’ on some of the crafty things I want to accomplish. So, today I: Made this super easy alphabet bag, inspired by this blogger’s lovely June 20th, 2009 —Chocolate creme brulee coffee + non-fat vanilla creamer. Basically, makes my mornings even better. —My tomato plants going crazy! I cannot wait to make all kinds of goodies with them. —Strawberry sorbet made with my awesome ice cream maker. —Watching It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia and laughing SO HARD. —Kayaking yesterday on Lake Natoma with Andrew —Getting really excited about some new fun plans for volunteering, spending time with friends |
